ADMIRALTY AND MARITIME LAW

Maritime law (or admiralty law) is one of the oldest and most established types of law. In general it covers laws and rules which govern shipping, marine commerce, contract and tort claims that arise on the world's navigable waters. It is a complex area governed by a variety of laws and sometimes, jurisdiction can be called into question.

Our team of international maritime lawyers focus on maritime and admiralty personal injury claims and compensation claims against cruise lines and other boat owners. Our maritime lawyers act for passengers and crew (and their families) who have been injured or suffered a loss as a result of a shipping incident. Representation may be available for passengers, crews and their families, injured in accidents, illnesses, assaults and deaths on cruise ships, tankers, motorboats, personal water craft or other type of vessels. We also regularly pursue insurers on behalf of clients who have suffered a financial loss as a result of a shipping incident. For example, having a future holiday cancelled due to a shipping disaster.

Giambrone Law ILP, as an international law firm with significant expertise in this field and internationally, has a team available to speak to our clients in a variety of languages including English, Italian, French, German, Spanish and Russian. This provides our clients from a variety of countries the opportunity to speak in their mother tongue with us.

When representing clients who have suffered a loss in relation to a maritime incident, Giambrone Law ILP usually handles each case on a contingency fee basis. In simple terms this is better described and "no win no fee". If you have been injured in an offshore accident, it is best to act quickly and ensure that you seek competent legal assistance.

Whether you were involved in the accident yourself or you've lost a loved one, it is likely that you will be worrying about what the future may hold. Taking legal action and pursuing a claim can also be concerning. Giambrone Law ILP has a very experienced and compassionate team to support our clients through these difficult times.
