Ciro Galiano is an Of Counsel in our Rome office with expertise in Labour law, Industrial relations, Social security, Privacy and Commercial law. He graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Palermo in 2003, and registered as a lawyer in 2006.

He specialised in Labour and Commercial law, combining his daily practice with the attendance of a Master's degree - "Master of Business and Environmental Law", "Executive Master for Data Protection Officer", and a further second-level Master's degree at the University la Sapienza of Rome - "Information Technology Law, Legal Informatics and New Technologies" achieved with 110 cum laude.

He assists leading national companies, holding companies and multinationals in extrajudicial and judicial phases, support to in-house DPOs, GDPR compliance process, staff training, relations with the Italian Data Protection Authority and Commercial and Labour contracts.

Ciro has dealt with due diligence transactions involving restructuring, transfers and leasing of business units, outsourcing of services through labour intensive private tenders and drafting contracts and assisting in their certification procedure. Since 2017, he has been a member of AGI - Avvocati Giuslavoristi Italiani and Assoreti PMI - Association for Business Networks; he is also a lecturer on Postgraduate and training courses for companies on Labour law and Privacy.

He is the author of numerous publications, most recently 'La Telemedicina' on Privacy and new technologies in Healthcare, Paesi Edizioni, July 2021 with Prof. Gabbrielli, Director of the National Centre for Telemedicine at the Istituto Superiore della Sanità.

His first language is Italian and he's fluent in English.
