Joaquim Pedro Mahando

Joaquim Pedro Mahando is a Senior Associate based at the Porto office.

Joaquim has a degree and masters in law from the Catholic University in Porto, as well as a post-graduate diploma in capital markets, banking, stock markets and Insurance law.

In addition, Joaquim has attended several training and research courses, for example: a management course, based on the case method, at IESE Business School - University of Navarra in partnership with Harvard Business School;  EU Law Research & Training at EU Court of Justice, in the Office of Advocate General Miguel P. MADURO and Oil & Gas Law and Project Training at London Central Law Training 

Joaquim has extensive experience in international and European contentious and non-contentious matters and has a comprehensive understanding of both civil and common law.  He can advise in a wide range of non-contentious transactions including M & A, offshore contracts, energy law including oil & gas, petroleum law and renewable energy law, investment, banking and insurance, employment law, commercial immigration and foreign investment.

Joaquim is highly regarded for his capability as a litigator and assists clients with litigation and dispute resolution enjoying considerable success, particularly in the energy sector.  Joaquim also can guide clients in respect of regulatory issues and the avoidance of breaches.

Joaquim has been published in a number of publications and has also been invited to speak at:
