Coral Novalvos Delgado

Senior Associate
Coral Novalvos Delgado is a Senior Associate in the Málaga office, which she also heads, and is additionally Head of the Gay Lawyers Department in Spain, as well as of the Animal Law Department.

Coral graduated in Law from the University of Seville in 2018. She undertook internships at the International Human Rights Observatory, which led to her subsequent appointment as a paralegal at a renowned law firm.

There, she specialised in immigration law while completing her Master’s Degree in Legal Practice and studying Korean and Japanese at the Centre for East Asian Studies, where she acquired basic language skills.

Coral specialises in International Law (both public and private), Immigration Law and Criminal Law, and has developed her career across these areas, as well as in civil litigation. In civil matters, she handles debt recovery proceedings, breach of contract cases, family law matters (divorce, child custody and guardianship), and civil liability arising from medical negligence. In criminal law, she works on cases involving offences against the person and property, including sexual offences, assault, homicide, fraud, theft and robbery. She is also specialised in organised crime, a field she further developed during her university studies.

She also has extensive experience in private practice, advising on cross-border inheritance matters and property transactions, with a particular focus on compliance and anti-money laundering, ensuring regulatory compliance and providing comprehensive legal advice to clients.

In the corporate sphere, she works on compliance matters with a particular focus on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), participating in the development of equality plans, compliance audits, and ensuring adherence to both national and regional legislation. She is also a trained equality officer.

As Head of the Gay Lawyers Department, Coral leads cases involving legal gender recognition, international parentage in homoparental families, and adoption proceedings, driving the department’s development into a specialist DEI consultancy model. In this context, and as a member of REDI, the Spanish Business Network for LGBTI Diversity and Inclusion, she actively participates in the Legal Chapter and the SME Chapter, where she has contributed to the White Paper on best practices for SMEs, as well as to the development of the diversity certification scheme, and regularly speaks at round tables and national and international events.
Finally, as Head of the Animal Law Department, she advises on cases relating to offences against animals and breaches of applicable regulations.

In 2024, she was recognised as “Immigration Law Expert of the Year 2024 in Spain” by Global Law Experts. She is also a regular contributor of articles on the firm’s website and frequently participates in national and international legal events.
