He was admitted to the Portuguese Bar Association in 2010, having graduated from Portuguese Catholic University.

He provides pragmatic strategic legal advice from the onset of a matter to individuals caught up in criminal investigations. Mario has been instrumental in successfully obtaining the acquittal of British nationals appearing before the courts in Portugal.  He is recognised for his tenacious pursuit of evidence to enable the presentation of mitigating circumstances in certain situations. 

Mario is frequently involved in cross-border criminal matters and collaborates with his criminal defence colleagues in Italy and Spain.
