The client required comprehensive advice on succession planning to ensure the orderly transmission of wealth, mitigation of inheritance tax exposure, and alignment with both UK and international legal frameworks.

Sergio conducted a detailed review of the client’s global asset portfolio, which included UK real estate holdings, investment portfolios, corporate interests and overseas assets situated in various jurisdictions. Following which, he structured the estate to maximise tax efficiency. Subsequently, a grant of representation was obtained for the administration of both UK and overseas assets which ensured the most tax-efficient approach to the declaration of inheritance tax. Sergio later managed the administration of the estate following the grant, ensuring an effective post-grant process.
