4. Work and Residence Visa
   This visa is for U.S. citizens who secure a job offer in Spain. The employer must initiate the process, ensuring compliance with local employment regulations. Alternatively, U.S. citizens who choose to set up their own business in Spain, benefiting from lower company formation costs compared to other EU countries, may also qualify for a work visa.

5. The Digital Nomad Visa  This visa allows foreign nationals to work in Spain for a company abroad for a limited period of time. This visa may give American expatriates the opportunity to continue to work for their existing company if both the company and the visa applicant can fulfil the requirements. The visa is renewable for up to three years, providing the applicant and the company still fulfils the criteria. This option enables a period of time for the newly arrived expatriate to get their bearings in a new country.
