Chiara Taddei

Chiara Taddei is an External Counsel of the Firm and a senior cross-border legal adviser based in the Republic of San Marino and Italy. She is qualified as an Avvocato, Notary Public and Chartered Accountant, offering clients a distinctive combination of legal, regulatory and financial expertise.

 

With more than two decades of professional experience, Chiara advises corporates, financial institutions, entrepreneurs and private clients on complex domestic and international matters. Her practice spans international business law, corporate structuring, M&A, real estate, trusts, asset protection, regulatory matters and cross-border advisory work, as well as civil and commercial litigation and selected criminal matters.

 

Chiara is particularly recognised for advising on international transactions and structures, with particular expertise involving the European Union, Italy and the Republic of San Marino, which require an integrated understanding of legal, tax, governance and regulatory considerations. She combines solid technical expertise with strong strategic judgment and a pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach.

 

Her experience is strongly informed by extensive practice in the Republic of San Marino, a jurisdiction with a distinctive geopolitical and economic position within Europe. Although not a member of the European Union, San Marino maintains extensive bilateral arrangements with it, enabling the Republic to serve as a strategic bridge jurisdiction for international entrepreneurs, investors and corporate groups.

 

She is the co-founder of a long-established multidisciplinary professional practice in San Marino serving an international clientele, providing integrated legal, corporate, notarial and tax advisory services. She has also held numerous senior appointments as chair, board member, supervisory board member and statutory auditor of banks, holding companies, public institutions and private enterprises.

 

She is valued by clients for her discretion and ability to deliver effective outcomes on matters requiring significant cross-border coordination.

 

In addition to her private practice, Chiara has served since 2019 as Ambassador of the Republic of San Marino to India, reflecting her international outlook and experience in institutional and cross-border relations.
