Maria Pinheiro-Torres holds a Law degree from Universidade Católica Portuguesa (Porto), where she also completed postgraduate programmes in Management, and in Negotiation, Mediation and Conflict Resolution (the latter in partnership with ICFML). She further specialised in Family Mediation and in Systemic Justice and Law.
In addition to her legal background, Maria has undertaken extensive training in personal development, including Coaching, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Enneagram and Systemic/Family Constellations.
Her professional experience spans extensive legal and notarial practice, credit recovery and advisory work for the Academic Services Directorate of a university.
In recent years, her focus has increasingly turned to conflict mediation, particularly in the context of family disputes, and to systemic perspectives and integrative approaches to justice, fostering clarity, balance and sustainable reconciliation.
Maria speaks Portuguese and English.
