Giambrone has been instructed in a case of severe illness contracted in Sharm el-Sheikh, Eygpt, on holiday in resulting in a fatality

Giambrone has been instructed in respect of a distressing case involving the death of a six-year-old child, Andrea Mirabile, and the serious illness of his father Antonio Mirabile.

The family was enjoying a holiday in Sharm el Sheik when, following the consumption of a meal in the hotel in which they were staying, the family fell ill with a serious stomach condition.  Tragically Andrea died a few days later; his father Antionio remains critically ill.

There has been speculation that the family had contracted dysentery but this has yet to be confirmed.

Gabriele Giambrone, managing partner, commented “this is a most upsetting tragedy for the family, however, speculation on the cause of death is premature and the family wishes that no further comment is made until such time as a cause of death has been established” He further commented “once the investigating bodies and authorities have concluded their investigations we will be in a position to know the best way to proceed in order to obtain justice for the family.  We do, of course, recognise that compensation can never in any way make up for the loss of Andrea.  However, we will make every effort to relentlessly establish accountability from all concerned in this sad situation and support the family.  No family should suffer such a terrible and possibly avoidable loss.“

Giambrone has a highly successful track record in obtaining awards in compensation for individuals that have suffered injuries or contracted severe illness as a result of third-party negligence.
