A distinguished Solicitor-Advocate with extensive experience in commercial litigation and complex insolvency, Edward’s arrival represents a strategic investment in the firm’s international disputes capability and its continued expansion across key jurisdictions.

Edward brings a career defined by landmark cases, cross-border expertise and courtroom advocacy at the highest level. He began his legal career at a highly regarded boutique firm in Chancery Lane, where his exceptional ability and technical acumen led swiftly to partnership. During this period, he played a pivotal role in a high-profile case involving the Libyan sovereign wealth fund, contributing to important judicial clarification on breaches of directors’ duties, including the concepts of dishonest assistance and knowing receipt.

He subsequently gained significant international experience at a major offshore law firm, acting in some of the most complex disputes in recent years. His work included involvement in the largest recorded insolvency to date and a politically sensitive dispute exposing large-scale government-level corruption in China, where he served as lead advocate in a critical and ultimately successful hearing. More recently, Edward represented a large group of Syrian claimants before the High Court in London in a substantial claim against a Middle Eastern bank relating to the alleged financing of terrorist activities.

Edward’s practice is driven by a strong sense of justice and a belief that high-quality legal representation should be accessible, without compromise on rigour or excellence. With Italian roots on his mother’s side and an English father, he advises authoritatively on matters of English law while maintaining a particular affinity with both English and Italian clients, naturally reinforcing the international identity at the heart of Giambrone & Partners.
