The firm has an ambitious expansion plan for the next five years and we are seeking an exceptional individual to join the team who can contribute to the firm’s growth.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Legal Marketing Manager who will be responsible for supporting a wide range of business development and marketing activities relevant to the firm’s UK and European operations.

The candidate will be expected to perform all responsibilities with a commitment to providing superior service to the firm’s clients, lawyers and staff.

We are looking for an energetic, experienced and proactive self-starter who enjoys a varied mix of business development and marketing activities.

Applicants need to have strong previous marketing management experience (ideally from within the legal sector) have strong written and oral communication skills, focussed, and understand online SEO requirements to improve the firm’s visibility online. The successful candidate must be able to manage multiple projects concurrently, have outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a variety of people from various backgrounds and departments, be a natural leader and be open and receptive to new ideas.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic and exceptionally busy team which deals with international commercial and civil litigation, insolvency and property litigation predominantly.

Key responsibilities

  • Business planning: advise the partners and play a key role in developing a strategy for the direction and delivery of proactive business development activities.
  • Client development: identify and help grow the client base in key areas of focus and assist the Head of European Business Development and Marketing to coordinate and execute client targeting activities.
  • Profile-raising: work with the marketing and PR teams to find ways to raise the firm’s profile in key areas of focus across different platforms (press, client publications, industry publications and social media) as well as identify other profile-raising opportunities.
  • Marketing collateral: work collaboratively to create and maintain tailored materials for various business development opportunities including client presentations, lawyer biographies and other client-facing materials.
  • Budget: work with the partners, lawyers and the Head of Business Development to budget and track marketing spend to maximise the firm’s return on investment.
  • Directory submissions and awards: play a leading role in the development of submissions to top reputable legal directories, updates, responses and other content to enhance the Firm's standing in the appropriate directories, surveys, lists and awards programs.
  • Additional projects: opportunity to be involved in firm-wide, local, departmental or practice group projects as and when they arise.
  • Relationship management: responsible for managing and coordinating the relationship and strategy with the various agencies that the firm employs to deal with online campaigns SEO and PPC.
  • Other responsibilities: assist with other business development and marketing activities for the UK and EU offices which may arise.

  • Have experience in communications, PR or marketing in a large organisation
