Joanna Bailey, an associate in the banking and finance team in Giambrone's London office was interviewed for the BBC's four-part series entitled In Scam City: Money, Mayhem and Maseratis.
BBC journalist, Moveen Azhar, is investigating how novice investors are approached and lured into investment scams on social media platforms such as WhatsApp. Joanna explained that the unregulated traders use a variety of methods to dupe their victims into parting with large amounts of money under the impression that they are making legitimate investments.

Many younger people have been persuaded to hand over money because the fraudsters present themselves as having earned an impossible level of returns on their investments, which is evidenced by designer clothes, expensive cars and posing in exclusive venues.
